NIGLON ACADEMY OFF TO BRIGHT START WITH NEW RECRUIT!

February 2023

We’re delighted to announce the recruitment of a new sales team member, responsible for the North East region.

Connor Corbett is our very first Niglon Academy recruit – having joined us after spending a decade working within the wholesale side of the electrical industry.

He says: “I’ve worked in electrical wholesale for the last ten years and have always used Niglon through that time – I’ve seen the company growing during those years so when the opportunity came up to join the firm when the Niglon Academy was announced, it was something I was really keen to do.

“Everyone in the team has been great, and the wholesalers have been so welcoming when I’ve visited them. Every day is different and I’m enjoying the challenge!”

Connor, a recently married dad-of-one and Liverpool FC fan, started his career in a wholesale warehouse, progressing to the trade counter before becoming a sales account manager at his previous firm. His aim within the North East is to work closely with current wholesalers and develop relationships with new wholesalers too.

Our Operations Director Oliver Hinley said: “Connor is a great addition to the team, and is already building up great relationships with our wholesalers in the North East – his familiarity with this aspect of the electrical industry makes him a great asset to the company.

“Connor is the first recruit to the Niglon Academy, an initiative designed to provide mentoring and on-the-job training for anyone looking to progress their career, regardless of their previous experience. This means he’s working closely with our national sales manager Ben Adams and other key members of the team.

“We look forward to seeing how Connor progresses going forward, and we’re thrilled he decided to join us, having already built up knowledge about Niglon products within his previous jobs.”
